Towns we serve in Morris County.

Morris County has 39 municipalities. These are the ones we visit most, each with its own page.

  • Chatham — the prewar Borough and the postwar Township
  • Madison — the Rose City, older homes near the train
  • Morristown — the county seat: Victorians, colonials and condos

We also work in Florham Park, East Hanover, Morris Township, Morris Plains, Harding, Parsippany and Randolph. Ask about your town.

Homes across Morris County.

Morris County changed fast after World War II. Its population more than tripled between 1920 and 1970, with a jump of close to half in the 1960s alone, as GI Bill mortgages helped returning veterans buy homes and farms turned into neighborhoods.

The older railroad towns in the east, like Madison, Chatham Borough and Morristown, have houses from the 1800s and early 1900s. Much of the rest grew after the war, and today the county also has plenty of newer subdivisions and townhouse communities.

Bathroom work that changes plumbing, electrical or framing is permitted under the New Jersey Uniform Construction Code through each town's construction office. In a few places the arrangement is shared: Chatham Borough's building permits, for example, are processed by Madison.

What we build here

  • Tub-to-shower conversions in hall baths and townhouses.
  • Walk-in and curbless showers.
  • Primary suites in postwar and newer homes.
  • Remodels in older railroad-era houses.
  • Schluter waterproofing behind every shower.
How we remodel bathrooms

What a bathroom costs in Morris County.

One set of ranges for the whole county, from a townhouse hall bath to a primary suite in a postwar or newer home. The row depends on the room, not on the town.

ProjectLabor only
Tub-to-shower conversionThe tub comes out and a tiled shower goes in, in the same spot.$6,500 – $16,750
Hall or guest bath, full remodelFloor, walls, shower or tub, vanity and toilet. Size and finish level move the number.$12,000 – $26,000
Primary bathA larger shower, a double vanity, often a tub, a bench or a moved drain.$23,000 – $50,000+

Labor only: demolition and disposal, prep, Schluter waterproofing, installation and cleanup. You buy the tile, vanity, fixtures and setting materials from the product list we give you. Permit fees, and anything we find behind the walls, are separate and priced in writing. These are the same ranges as in our bathroom remodel cost guide; your real number comes in writing after the visit.
